David Austin started farming in the 1950’s as a young man and it is here that he started his love affair with old-fashioned roses his first hybridizing attempt resulted in the well known, ‘Constance Spry’ which was released in 1961. David’s Nursery is situated at Albrighton, Shropshire England and continues his breeding of new roses. Which today are sold all around the world. His roses are rich in Old-fashioned charm and fragrance and grow very well in Australian conditions.
